S3 Quickstart: Store Your First Object

S3 Quickstart: Store Your First Object

Hippius S3 is a distributed, S3-compatible storage service. This guide takes you from zero to your first file upload in under 5 minutes.

Create an Account

  1. Go to console.hippius.com
  2. Sign in with Google, GitHub, Apple, or a 12-word Access Key

No browser extension required.

Top Up Your Balance

S3 starts on pay as you go: $6 per TB per month, charged hourly from your account balance on what you store. So before you upload, add some money to your balance.

  1. In the console, go to Billing.
  2. Click + Top up and pay by card (min $10), Bitcoin (min $20), USDC on Base (min $5) or TAO (min $20).

Storing a lot? A monthly S3 plan covers a block of storage for a flat price, up to 22% cheaper per TB. See S3 plans and pay as you go.

Create S3 Credentials

  1. In the console, go to S3 → S3 Buckets
  2. Click + Create Master Token
  3. Save your Access Key ID (starts with hip_) and Secret Key
warning

Store your secret key securely — it cannot be retrieved after creation.
